Your child was discharged and you're not sure what to do next

That's normal. The doctor told you your child needs respiratory physiotherapy, but no one fully explained how it works, how many sessions, or what to expect. Take a breath. Your child is in the hands of a specialist with 37 years of experience in pediatric ICU.

If your child has been diagnosed with bronchiolitis, pneumonia, asthma, atelectasis, or any respiratory condition requiring physiotherapy after hospital discharge, you need a professional who has managed the most complex cases in pediatric ICU — not someone learning on your child.

You're probably wondering:

😰

"Is my child going to be okay?"

With timely and proper treatment, the vast majority of children recover completely. Each session has a clear clinical goal and you'll know exactly how your child is progressing.

🏠

"What does in-home care look like?"

Care is delivered at home, in an environment your child knows. This reduces stress, makes it easier for your child to cooperate, and lets you observe and learn basic techniques for daily care.

📋

"Will the doctor know how it's going?"

Yes. After every session — or at the end of treatment — the treating physician receives a progress report. If anything requires urgent medical attention, the doctor is contacted immediately.

What's included

Each session is designed to resolve, not to maintain.

Resolution of pediatric atelectasis

Specialized treatment of pulmonary atelectasis in children: re-expansion of collapsed areas post-surgery, post-intubation and post-hospitalization. Manual and instrumental techniques with results from the first session.

Bronchial hygiene

Clearing of the airway, mobilization and elimination of bronchial secretions.

Secretion suctioning

A complement to effective bronchial hygiene in patients who have difficulty expelling secretions, or when secretions are very thick or adherent. Useful in bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis, neuromuscular diseases, cerebral palsy, tracheostomized patients and post-hospitalization.

Inhalation therapy correction

Supervision and correction of common errors in the use of inhalers and spacers.

Parent and caregiver education

Teaching basic techniques for secretion management, nasal cleaning and warning signs.
